Miyagi

Located in northern Japan with many historical temples and shrines, including Zuigan-ji and Osaki Hachimangu, which are registered as National Treasures. Another highlight in Miyagi is Naruko, a hot springs village with over 1,000 years of history that encompasses nine of the eleven different types of hot springs waters types in Japan. Being in a temperate deciduous forest climate means the various seasons (spring cherry blossoms, summer seas, fall foliage, and winter ice rime [a special type of frost that covers trees]) each bring their own unique scenery.
