Nagano

Nagano, home to the 1988 Winter Olympics, is a world class ski area in the Japanese Alps with numerous mountains over 3,000m (about 10,000ft) and heavy amount of powder snow. Recently, Nagano is becoming famous for craft beer in Japan as the crystal clean water provides a delicious base for brewing. Although Nagano receives a lot of snow, the air is quite dry and is one of the least overcast (most sunny) places in Japan even during the winter.
