Kagoshima

The southernmost area of the main part of Japan (excluding Okinawa) Kagoshima has 2,632km (1,635mi) of coastline and 28 islands. One of these islands is Natural World Heritage Site, Yakushima, which has a tree that is 2,300 years old. Kagoshima is far enough south to be sub-tropical so it does not show here and the forests are lush.
