Overview

The temple of Oiwasan Nissekiji is said to have its origin in the year AD 725, when a monk carved a figure of a Buddhist deity into a huge rock on the River. The principal objects among the rock carvings include the figure of Fudo Myo-o (3.14 meters high), plus four other figures carved into a massive boulder of volcanic rock. These ancient spiritual rock carvings make for a truly unique shoot.
