Located on a small hill overlooking the city, it is familiar as a symbol of the city. Hirayama castle made by Shibata Katsuya at nephew Katsutoh in 1576 by Nobunaga Oda's life. The dual three-layer temple tower type castle tower is the oldest architectural style among the existing castle towers, an important cultural asset of the country. In the surrounding area there is a Japanese garden type park which was maintained in commemoration of the 400th year of the castle building, and historical ethnic museums can see the items related to the ancient castle owners. Also known as "Kasumi Castle", about 4,000 cherry blossoms are also popular as a flower sightseeing spot in the spring.
