Kankakei is a one of Japan's three major beautiful gorges. This gorge, created by volcanic activity 13 million years ago, is enveloped in rich nature, and it presents a tasteful and quiet scenery characterized by the unique shapes into which stones and rocks have been molded over a long time. The whole area turns yellow and red as tree leaves change color during the fall.
